If you’re glamping in Hood River this summer, you’ll be treated to sunny skies, nice breezes and toasty temperatures so we thought it’d be fun to take a look at some of the best places near Camp Vagabond Lodge for you to beat the heat. Here are our top two places to take a dip during your Hood River glamping adventure:
Koberg Beach State Recreation Site
Koberg Beach offers up a sandy beach blocked by a big rock so it’s really close to I-84 but you wouldn’t know it once you dip your toe in the Columbia River. The swimming is good, there are flush toilets and you’ll find this a great spot for picnicking, fishing and windsurfing.
Hood River Waterfront Park
The Hood River Waterfront Park is located on Portway Avenue in Hood River, Oregon – just a few minutes from Camp Vagabond Lodge. The park offers picnic tables, restrooms and drinking fountains, a kid’s play area, a really nice swim area, a launch ramp for windsurfers and stand-up paddlers as well as a nice walking path and viewing platform. All in all, a really nice place to spend an afternoon.
So there you have it, when the Gorge gets toasty, the glampers get swimming! Haven’t booked your glamping tent yet? Take a look at Vagabond Lodge and get in on the fun this summer! Your glamping tent will let you soak in the sweet sounds of summer and treat you to the cool evenings and comfortable mornings only found in the great outdoors!
