There’s no better place to celebrate the 4th of July than Orcas Island. Here’s a rundown of all the fun that you can enjoy around the Island if you’re able to break away from your glamping tent for a few hours:
Saturday, July 1st
The Annual Pancake Breakfast at the Eastsound Fire Station, 45 Lavender Lane from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. Volunteers will be serving up our secret recipe for pancakes, sausage, eggs, and beverages. Adults $7.00, Children $5.00, under 5 years of age eat FREE. All proceeds support the Orcas Island Firefighters and EMT’s.
The Farmers market will be happening on the Village Green from 10am – 3:00pm
The Pie Booth and Hot Dog Stand is hosted by the Orcas Island Historical Museum from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Enjoy Orcas Island’s holiday parade starting at noon, sponsored by the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce.
Run the “F5” Funhouse Commons 5K run, 5K walk, or 1K kids’ run, now named the “Eat and Run” in honor of the many local restaurants sponsoring the race.
The Lions Club sponsors the Salmon BBQ is from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Station.
Monday, July 3rd
The Deer Harbor fireworks show runs from ‘round about 6:00pm – 11:00pm
Tuesday, July 4th
The Eastsound Fireworks Show “A Plethora of Pyrotechnics” 6:00 pm – 10:45 pm. East Sound will be aglow with Fabulous Fireworks. Be sure to be early – there’s sort of a street fair vibe in town as the show approaches!
