Like to bike? You’ll have plenty of opportunity during your glamping adventure in Hood River!
If you’re looking for some wild mountain biking, everyone agrees that you’ve got to check out Post Canyon just outside of Hood River. By all accounts, some of the trails are tricky to find but totally worth it.
If you’re more in the mood for some really relaxed pedaling, you should definitely check out the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. This trail evolved from old U.S. Highway 30 that used to be the way to navigate the Gorge by car. Now, 12 miles of abandoned highway sections will be all yours (so long as you’re on a bicycle)! The main trailheads are Mark O. Hatfield Trailheads (east and west) between Mosier and Hood River, and Starvation Creek Trailhead.

If you’re looking for a serious highway cycling trek, or anything else, drop by Ride Oregon. Find a ride by region and filter to Mt.Hood/The Gorge!
Of course, bicycling isn’t all that there is to do in the Columbia River Gorge, there’s plenty of other options from watersports to hiking to sightseeing to scenic driving. Go ahead and book your Hood River Glamping Tent today and stay tuned as we add more posts about all of the outdoor summer fun waiting right outside your tent flaps!
