This magical spot just a few miles outside of Eastsound creates and sells some of the most fantastic pottery that we’ve ever seen in one of the most spectacular settings on Orcas Island. In addition to the great pottery, the venue itself is worth a look. There are a handful of fun buildings showcasing the artwork – including a tree-house.
Just a short drive toward the East side of Orcas Island will land you at Orcas Island Artworks – a splendid gallery in a historic building that features roughly 40 artists and all sorts of mediums. The ‘Artworks’ is really a strawberry barreling plant building constructed in 1938 and then recently rebuilt after a fire. The Artworks also tacked on a sculpture garden this past summer which is quite lovely on a summer morning or autumn afternoon.
