We packed up our glamping tents just in time this fall – right after we zipped the last bag it started raining! A good soaking Northwest rain. The kind of rain that the North-WET is somewhat famous for. That’s good for all of us; the forest, lakes, creatures and creeks throughout Moran State Park on Orcas Island sure needed a good drink after an unusually hot and dry summer.
Another benefit of all this winter rain? The Moran State Park waterfalls, particularly Rustic Falls and Cascade Falls, are looking good. Real good.
Take a look for yourself below or, better yet, book your 2016 glamping adventure with us and come see the falls in person. There’s endless adventure on Orcas Island. You can hike to the highest spot in all the San Juan Islands, go on a whale watching adventure, paddle a sea kayak, enjoy a lazy day at the lake and a good night’s rest camping in one of our glamping tents!
